WYZ Law Group represents the Applicant in the first Hague case 2020
WYZ Law Group represents the Applicant in the first Hague case in Swedish court since the UN Children’s Convention became Swedish law on the 1st of January 2020.
When something as important as a child's will is at conflict with the Hague Convention, what precedent will the District Court of Stockholm set?
We believe that in addition to a child's independent and non-induced expression of will, adequate government protection is also an important element that should decide the outcome of the issue.
If the current country has at least the same protective structure and measures as Sweden, then there are no formal hindrances to transfer the child back to their place of residence.
After three intense days in the District Court of Stockholm, we are now waiting for the judgement on whether the children will be returned to their country of residence, and if so- in what manner.
As soon as the judgement becomes public, it will be available for your reading
on a link below. Stay tuned.
